HEIRLOOM SESSION PORTRAITS
HEIRLOOM SESSION SHORT FILM
The Heirloom Session became a very personal experience for me last September when my Grandma Betty started to get sick & they planned to move to assisted living. I spent a day with my grandparents, capturing their daily routines & everyday items around the house that had meant so much to my childhood.
The way that they sat at their coffee table and watched the news, my grandma’s bookshelves, the pictures on the walls, their nap time, the way the light shone through the windows at night.
I knew the simple details of their life would be the things I missed the most.
A month later, my grandparents moved out of this home that they had spent the past 25 years in, and my grandma passed away that November. This footage is some of my most important work – I would hope to be able to provide the same thing for someone else.
